What is Wrong With Bill O'Reilly

I have just about had it with the Populist Factor. Already I had severally cut down my viewing of the Factor after Mr. O'Reilly gave the President the grade of a "B" on his little grammar school report card after Obama's first one-hundred days in office. This is a President that in his first one-hundred days has tried his best to make the United States less safe. He has continued President Bush's TARP and bailout programs. He has nationalized the banks, the auto industry and is well on his way to nationalizing health care. The President has already increased the Federal debt by trillions, four times what is was last year, and Mr. O'Reilly gives him a "B", a "B"!!! Give me a break. Now Mr. O'Reilly is all for the President's CAFE (Corporate Average Fuel Economy) standards. When his guest, Laura Ingraham, called him on it asking "What about Freedom?" all he can say is something like: Freedom has made the oil sheiks the richest men in the world.
What?
No Mr. O. These weaselly politicians made the oil men some of the richest people in the world. If it had not been for spineless politicians we would have been producing our own oil by now Bill. If it weren't for dirty politicians we would have more nuclear plants, coal to oil plants, green fuel plants. You want to reduce our dependency on foreign oil Mr. O'Reilly, well who the hell doesn't in this country. If you want it then, oh what is that old slogan from last year, oh ya: Drill Here, Drill Now. But of course you say well that will take fifteen years or so. First off that is not the case and you know it. All you have to do is open up the leases off the coast of California for one instance. Also when are these new CAFE standards supposed to finalize? Oh ya 2016. Hum, lets see I am no mathematician but I do believe that is 6, no wait 7 years from now.
In case you missed it Bill this is the United States of America. We should be able to drive what in the hell we want to drive. We want to drive a hummer that gets 12 mpg, than that is our choice. You want to drive a civic hybrid, that is your choice. I don't have a problem with either, why do you Mr. O'Reilly? Now our choices will be whatever the government wants them to be, or whatever piece of crap that China is going to start importing over here. No Thanks. Bill O'Reilly mentions that he doesn't want Hugo Chavez getting richer while laws like these new CAFE standards are going to be turning us into Venezuela. It has been politicians that have kept us dependant on foreign oil Bill. It has been politicians that are buddy, buddy with brutal dictators Bill. It has been politicians and unions that have already destroyed the American auto industry Bill. Now we are going to have the government telling the auto industry what kind of cars to build. I think we all know where that one is going. Guess what Mr. O'Reilly the kind of cars politicians want to build are the kind where they will be able to raise our taxes because we are not spending as much on gas, among other things. Americans want what kind of cars they want and we do not need the government dictating to us what we "should" have. Follow this to its conclusion Bill. Where does this lead us? Think this thing through. Where does it end?
If we want our big SUV's to drive then we should be able to. If we drill for oil here and run out one day, so the hell what. This is the United States of America, if we run out of oil we will find a way to run our cars on water. If we run out of that we will find a way to run them on s#*t. There is enough of that coming out of Washington D.C. to keep us in supply indefinitely. Leave American industry and American ingenuity alone. Get the government out of running businesses and we will prosper.
