Common Sense On Moderate Republicans

I am rather sick and tired of hearing from General Colin Powell, Senator John McCain and his daughter, Senator Lindsay Graham, Newt Gingrich, Arnold Schwarzenegger, etc. etc. etc. that the republican party needs to be more moderate. Honestly I could care less what the republican party becomes, but lets call a spade a spade. The republican party has hardly ever been the party of true conservatives. Except President Reagan what other republican president has been a conservative in the last fifty years? None that I can see. The men and women that I mentioned above are obviously just a small section of all of the moderate people in the so-called republican party. They are nothing but progressives just like 95% of the people in Washington. They are all interested men who want to grow the federal government. These moderates espouse nothing but bigger government. No thanks we have had enough. All of these people can be perfectly described by Thomas Paine over two hundred years ago: They are “Interested men, who are not to be trusted; weak men, who cannot see; prejudiced men, who will not see; and a certain set of moderate men: and this last class, by an ill-judged deliberation, will be the cause of more calamities to this continent than all the other three.”
