This is an article from the Russian news paper "Pravda". They get it! Listen to the video at the end of this article also. It is from Ezra Taft Benson. He was Secretary of Agriculture under the Eisenhower administration. This is from a speech he made in 1966 at BYU; what a prediction and now it is happening.
It must be said, that like the breaking of a great dam, the American decent into Marxism is happening with breath taking speed, against the back drop of a passive, hapless sheeple, excuse me dear reader, I meant people. True, the situation has been well prepared on and off for the past century, especially the past twenty years. The initial testing grounds was conducted upon our Holy Russia and a bloody test it was. But we Russians would not just roll over and give up our freedoms and our souls, no matter how much money Wall Street poured into the fists of the Marxists.
Those lessons were taken and used to properly prepare the American populace for the surrender of their freedoms and souls, to the whims of their elites and betters.
First, the population was dumbed down through a politicized and substandard education system based on pop culture, rather then the classics. Americans know more about their favorite TV dramas then the drama in DC that directly affects their lives. They care more for their "right" to choke down a McDonalds burger or a BurgerKing burger than for their constitutional rights. Then they turn around and lecture us about our rights and about our "democracy". Pride blind the foolish.
Then their faith in God was destroyed, until their churches, all tens of thousands of different "branches and denominations" were for the most part little more then Sunday circuses and their televangelists and top protestant mega preachers were more then happy to sell out their souls and flocks to be on the "winning" side of one pseudo Marxist politician or another. Their flocks may complain, but when explained that they would be on the "winning" side, their flocks were ever so quick to reject Christ in hopes for earthly power. Even our Holy Orthodox churches are scandalously liberalized in America.
The final collapse has come with the election of Barack Obama. His speed in the past three months has been truly impressive. His spending and money printing has been a record setting, not just in America's short history but in the world. If this keeps up for more then another year, and there is no sign that it will not, America at best will resemble the Wiemar Republic and at worst Zimbabwe.
These past two weeks have been the most breath taking of all. First came the announcement of a planned redesign of the American Byzantine tax system, by the very thieves who used it to bankroll their thefts, loses and swindles of hundreds of billions of dollars. These make our Russian oligarchs look little more then ordinary street thugs, in comparison. Yes, the Americans have beat our own thieves in the shear volumes. Should we congratulate them?

Ramblings on Common Sense, Tea Parties, The 9/12 Project and People Everywhere That are Waking Up: Part Two
While I am ecstatic to see so many people getting involved there are still many, many more that are apathetic to the troubles of the day. Apathy is undoubtedly the biggest problem we face here in The United States. I dare say that most people are more interested in what is happening on American Idol and Dancing with the Stars, or worse yet, so involved in buying “things” to try and fill some kind of void in their lives, that they are oblivious to their freedoms being taken away. Apathy! I would say that most of these types of people still are very much aware that things are not right in this Country, but say things like “what can I really do?” Apathy! And with this apathy they continue on in their lives passing over these abuses on our Freedoms like they are not happening. “But if you say you can still pass the violations over, then I ask, hath your house been burnt? Hath you property been destroyed before your face? Are your wife and children destitute of a bed to lie on, or bread to live on? Have you lost a parent or a child by their hands, and yourself the ruined and wretched survivor? If you are not, then are you not a judge of those who have. But if you have, and can still shake hands with the murderers, then are you un-worthy the name of husband, father, friend, or lover, and whatever may be your rank or title in life, you have the heart of a coward, and the spirit of a sycophant… I mean not to exhibit horror for the purpose of provoking revenge, but to awaken us from fatal and unmanly slumbers, that we may pursue determinately some fixed object.”
While are houses are not being burnt, and the like, we are losing life, liberty, and property nonetheless. I use the above quote as metaphors with the hope we can avoid more troubled times like Paine saw in his day and to awaken us from our apathetic lives so that we “may pursue…some fixed object; namely restoring our Constitution and the Freedoms we have lost.
“We are already greater than the King (President) wishes us to be, and will he not hereafter endeavor to make us less? To bring the matter to one point, is the power who is jealous of our prosperity, a proper power to govern us?”
“O! Ye that love mankind! Ye that dare oppose, not only tyranny, but the tyrant, stand forth! Every spot of the old world is overrun with oppression. Freedom hath been haunted round the globe. Asia, and Africa, had long expelled her. Europe regards her like a stranger, and England hath given her warning to depart. O! receive the fugitive, and prepare in time an asylum for mankind.”
We were, and to a large degree still are, that asylum for mankind. My God how did we let these freedom destroying people in amongst us? I understand that through man’s ambitions people as a whole are prone to strive for power over others. I understand this, I do, but we have got to do everything in our power to get more and more people involved. There are people out there that just want to serve their country and not becoming career politicians.
What will it take to find these types of people? Apathy over our freedom being lost must stop. What will we do America? Will we cower and shrink from the encroaching abuses of the federal government? Will we close our doors and look away, “leaving the sword to your children?” Or will we grip the sword that has been put in our hands and restore the glory of this great country.
Freedom is not hereditary, neither is it perpetual. Freedom had been given to us by the huge sacrifices our Founders made. Now we have lost a lot of those freedoms and are losing more every day. However we now have “every opportunity and every encouragement before us” to once again form the noblest, purest, most free country the world has ever seen. “We have it in our power to begin the world over again. The birthday of a new world is at hand...” and we “are to receive” our “portion of freedom from the events of a few months. The reflection is awful-and in this point of view, how trifling, how ridiculous, do the little paltry cavilings, of a few weak or interested men appear, when weighed against the business of a world.”
As I mentioned earlier apathy is our main problem here in the United States. However never in my life have I seen more involvement in our American cause than today. Should we abandon the opportunities that these days provide for us “we must charge the consequence to ourselves, and to those whose narrow and prejudiced souls, are habitually opposing the measure.” Now is not the time to argue with each other about who or what is taking freedom away from us but anxious to gain those freedoms back.

We already know that freedom is under attack here in The United States. We know that it has been for at least 100 years. Whether you are a republican, a democrat, an independent, a libertarian or someone like me that hates being categorized but just loves his country, I think at the very least most of us can come to the conclusion that our country is being lost. We know that “things” are not right; maybe some of us do not know what those “things” are yet but we know they are not right. We as a people are probably feeling a lot like our countrymen, including our Founding Fathers, felt in the 1750’s, 1760’s, and 1770’s. We have already had several non-violent (thank God) tea parties to protest the growing of our government and the taxes that will inevitable come. More tea parties are sure to follow also. People everywhere are speaking out, joining groups like Glenn Beck’s 9/12 project. People are connecting through sites like meetup.com to well, meet up, and talk about the issues of the day. People are getting together to discuss solutions to our problems. Some people are creating blogs to try and get out the message and educate people and themselves on the founding of this country. Some are doing all of the above.
We are all trying to wake others up to the dangers of this amazingly strong and complex progressive movement in America. What kind of country do we have here when government can come in claiming eminent domain and take private property away from people? Life, Liberty, and Property, whatever happened to that? What kind of country are we living in when the government can take away from those that produce and give to those that do not? Does any of this sound like the United States of America?

Common Sense On Moderate Republicans
I am rather sick and tired of hearing from General Colin Powell, Senator John McCain and his daughter, Senator Lindsay Graham, Newt Gingrich, Arnold Schwarzenegger, etc. etc. etc. that the republican party needs to be more moderate. Honestly I could care less what the republican party becomes, but lets call a spade a spade. The republican party has hardly ever been the party of true conservatives. Except President Reagan what other republican president has been a conservative in the last fifty years? None that I can see. The men and women that I mentioned above are obviously just a small section of all of the moderate people in the so-called republican party. They are nothing but progressives just like 95% of the people in Washington. They are all interested men who want to grow the federal government. These moderates espouse nothing but bigger government. No thanks we have had enough. All of these people can be perfectly described by Thomas Paine over two hundred years ago: They are “Interested men, who are not to be trusted; weak men, who cannot see; prejudiced men, who will not see; and a certain set of moderate men: and this last class, by an ill-judged deliberation, will be the cause of more calamities to this continent than all the other three.”

Ramblings on Thomas Paine’s Common Sense
Our system of government was established to provide as much freedom to the individual as possible. This combined with just enough government to provide the security necessary to make freedom possible for the people. This is just about all that our government should be responsible for.
“Here, then, is the origin and rise of government; namely, a mode rendered necessary by the inability of moral virtue to govern the world; here too is the design and end of government, viz. freedom and security. And however our eyes may be dazzled with show, or our ears deceived by sound; however prejudice may warp our wills, or interest darken our understanding, the simple voice of nature and reason will say, it is right.” (Thomas Paine)
Now that our eyes have been dazzled with show and our ears deceived by sound we are told by the dazzler that our Constitution is a “flawed document” and we need to remake The United States of America.
We are told that we need to have health care like Spain and England. We are told we need to be part of this “World Community” and we need to respect, not Constitutional laws but “World laws.” We are told we need to be tolerant and accept other cultures like France and accept other cultures backwards law like Sharia Law. In short we need to be like Europe. We have already had our President go over to Europe and apologize for American arrogance. Talk about arrogant. So they say our Constitution is old and out of date and our progressive Presidents want America to resemble Europe? Let us remember what the Jews said to Samuel in the Bible: “Behold thou art old, and thy sons walk not in thy ways, now make us a king to judge us like all the other nations” (1 Samuel 8:5 Quoted out of Thomas Paine’s Common Sense).
Thomas Paine hit this nail right on the head even before our Constitution was written, when he said: “And here we cannot but observe that their motives were bad, viz. that they might be like unto other nations…whereas their true glory lay in being as much unlike them as possible.”
Sure our Constitution is a couple hundred years old but it works. It works because it is based on timeless principles, values, and laws. The problem is that it’s “sons walk not in thy ways.” Now give us a President to make us like all other nations, whereas our true glory is America being as much unlike any other nation as possible.
Can we at least try and remember why people started coming to America. Does anyone remember the pilgrims? And now these progressive Presidents want us to “return” to England and Europe it would seem. “This new world hath been the asylum for the persecuted lovers of civil and religious liberty from every part of Europe. Hither have they fled, not from the tender embraces of the mother, but from the cruelty of the monster… the same tyranny which drove the first emigrants from home, pursues their descendants still” (Thomas Paine).

Staying Positive
I would like to take this time to thank President Bush and President Obama for some of their more important policies. I know in the long run we will be better for them. So I thank you President Bush for you free-market destroying bailout programs. I thank you for your ill-conceived prescription drug program. I thank you for yet another huge government bureaucracy namely Homeland Security. While I will give you huge credit for keeping us safe and freeing people around the world, here at home you have presided over a huge growth of the federal government and hampered individual freedom.
I thank you President Obama for coming into office and so quickly turning the United States even more away from free-market principles and into a socialist country where the federal government is actually running what was at one time private companies. I thank you for your American hating and terrorist friends and your desire to make even more American hating friends. I thank you for being a propaganda piece for that brutal dictator communist Hugo Chavez. I thank you two presidents sincerely, for it is from you and politicians like you that We the People are starting too wake up. People are becoming involved, educating themselves and gaining enough knowledge to realize that the democrats and republicans are taking us to the same exact place. You have both made us fight amongst each other while at the same time both of these parties were busy moving us away from the individual rights laid out in the Constitution toward a bigger, more centralized federal government that they hope will, one day soon, end in total government rule and tyranny. Politicians beware we are involved now, we are waking up, we are fed up.

Marco Rubio For U.S. Senate
Well the people of Florida will soon be voting for a new senator when Senator Martinez leaves his office. See ya Mel. Running for that senate spot on the republican side is Florida's current governor Charlie Crist and former Florida Speaker of the House Marco Rubio. Watch the video above on Marco Rubio (others will be posted under my video links) and tell me what you think. This guy sounds great to me. I actually got goosebumps (no not a thrill running up my leg, but goosebumps), I tend to do that when I hear someone that loves his country. I tried to find a comparable video of Governor Christ but the only thing you can find of him is political ramblings where he is not saying anything really, just like every other career politician. Lets not forget that Crist emerged as the leading Republican voice in favor of President Obama’s $787 billion stimulus plan. Crist is also in league with the extreme environmentalist movement right along side California Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger (and we all know he is doing such a wonderful job). Along with hosting a summit meeting on global warming, Crist capped greenhouse gas pollution and ordered state agencies to reduce emissions through tighter auto efficiency standards in 2007. Crist also took on the state’s insurance industry by making state government a larger player in the market and undercutting private insurers.
Like I said in an earlier post Crist is nothing but an opportunist and another Arlen Specter. Lets run him out of here on the progressive train he is running on. Vote Rubio for Senate.

What is Wrong With Bill O'Reilly
I have just about had it with the Populist Factor. Already I had severally cut down my viewing of the Factor after Mr. O'Reilly gave the President the grade of a "B" on his little grammar school report card after Obama's first one-hundred days in office. This is a President that in his first one-hundred days has tried his best to make the United States less safe. He has continued President Bush's TARP and bailout programs. He has nationalized the banks, the auto industry and is well on his way to nationalizing health care. The President has already increased the Federal debt by trillions, four times what is was last year, and Mr. O'Reilly gives him a "B", a "B"!!! Give me a break. Now Mr. O'Reilly is all for the President's CAFE (Corporate Average Fuel Economy) standards. When his guest, Laura Ingraham, called him on it asking "What about Freedom?" all he can say is something like: Freedom has made the oil sheiks the richest men in the world.
What?
No Mr. O. These weaselly politicians made the oil men some of the richest people in the world. If it had not been for spineless politicians we would have been producing our own oil by now Bill. If it weren't for dirty politicians we would have more nuclear plants, coal to oil plants, green fuel plants. You want to reduce our dependency on foreign oil Mr. O'Reilly, well who the hell doesn't in this country. If you want it then, oh what is that old slogan from last year, oh ya: Drill Here, Drill Now. But of course you say well that will take fifteen years or so. First off that is not the case and you know it. All you have to do is open up the leases off the coast of California for one instance. Also when are these new CAFE standards supposed to finalize? Oh ya 2016. Hum, lets see I am no mathematician but I do believe that is 6, no wait 7 years from now.
In case you missed it Bill this is the United States of America. We should be able to drive what in the hell we want to drive. We want to drive a hummer that gets 12 mpg, than that is our choice. You want to drive a civic hybrid, that is your choice. I don't have a problem with either, why do you Mr. O'Reilly? Now our choices will be whatever the government wants them to be, or whatever piece of crap that China is going to start importing over here. No Thanks. Bill O'Reilly mentions that he doesn't want Hugo Chavez getting richer while laws like these new CAFE standards are going to be turning us into Venezuela. It has been politicians that have kept us dependant on foreign oil Bill. It has been politicians that are buddy, buddy with brutal dictators Bill. It has been politicians and unions that have already destroyed the American auto industry Bill. Now we are going to have the government telling the auto industry what kind of cars to build. Americans want what kind of cars they want and we do not need the government dictating to us what we "should" have. Follow this to its conclusion Bill. Where does this lead us? Think this thing through. Where does it end?
If we want our big SUV's to drive then we should be able to. If we drill for oil here and run out one day, so the hell what. This is the United States of America, if we run out of oil we will find a way to run our cars on water. If we run out of that we will find a way to run them on s#*t. There is enough of that coming out of Washington D.C. to keep us in supply indefinitely. Leave American industry and American ingenuity alone. Get the government out of running businesses and we will prosper.

No Mr. O. These weaselly politicians made the oil men some of the richest people in the world. If it had not been for spineless politicians we would have been producing our own oil by now Bill. If it weren't for dirty politicians we would have more nuclear plants, coal to oil plants, green fuel plants. You want to reduce our dependency on foreign oil Mr. O'Reilly, well who the hell doesn't in this country. If you want it then, oh what is that old slogan from last year, oh ya: Drill Here, Drill Now. But of course you say well that will take fifteen years or so. First off that is not the case and you know it. All you have to do is open up the leases off the coast of California for one instance. Also when are these new CAFE standards supposed to finalize? Oh ya 2016. Hum, lets see I am no mathematician but I do believe that is 6, no wait 7 years from now.
In case you missed it Bill this is the United States of America. We should be able to drive what in the hell we want to drive. We want to drive a hummer that gets 12 mpg, than that is our choice. You want to drive a civic hybrid, that is your choice. I don't have a problem with either, why do you Mr. O'Reilly? Now our choices will be whatever the government wants them to be, or whatever piece of crap that China is going to start importing over here. No Thanks. Bill O'Reilly mentions that he doesn't want Hugo Chavez getting richer while laws like these new CAFE standards are going to be turning us into Venezuela. Time to Get Involved
Well it has been over a week now since I put the blog up on our wish list. We took ten very difficult ideas that we want to see happen in the United States and narrowed that down to four. Those four items are as follows: Let Capitalism Work, Term Limits for Congress, Drill our own oil, and End the Federal Reserve. Since then I have asked for your comments on how we can go accomplish these things and as of the writing of this entry I have not received any comments on this matter. I for one think that ending the Federal Reserve is the most important and like I said in that earlier blog the best way I know of trying to get rid of the Fed is to call, and e-mail your Representatives and Senators and tell them to support H.R. 833 Federal Reserve Board Abolition Act or at the very least H.R. 1207 Federal Reserve Transparency Act of 2009.
I know that a lot of people were upset and whining after Obama was elected and now some of those people are starting to act and try to wake this country up. Some are not. Some people are starting to see that both of these parties, the democrats and the republicans are taking us away from our founding documents and our founding ideas, values and principles. Some just seem to be complaining. My question to everyone out there reading this blog is this: Are we a bunch of whiners and complainers looking for solace? Or are we really fed up with our government? Do we Americans want limited government, capitalism, and individual rights? Or do we “feel” better when we complain about a huge government, socialism, and collective rights? Do we want to restore the Constitution to its former glory or do we want to complain that it is being remade into some sort of living document where it can be dissected and left up to the whims of socialist presidents and foreign countries?
I want people that come to this blog to learn something and to act. As of today on this blog I am putting up a book list that you will find on the right side of this page. I am also putting up a section entitled “Tracking the U.S. Congress” with the two bills I mentioned earlier already being followed. Hopefully these books can help educate us all on what exactly it means to be an American among other things. I want people to come to this blog and comment. I want people to leave comments asking tough questions. I want people to come here and comment giving and looking for great answers. I want solutions to the problems we face here in the United States not a long list of complaints. People get real tired of others that constantly complain and do nothing to better the situation. Help me take all of our complaints and find solutions to them.

American Values and Principles: Part Ten
I will leave you with this for right now: We were founded by a spiritual and moral people that were guided and influenced by God to create a document that, if followed, would secure and forever establish the rights of individual freedom. This document, the Constitution was based on unchanging fundamental truths and ideas. The values and principles in the Constitution are as relevant today and to today’s people as they were throughout history. There is no expiration date on them, they do not spoil, and they do not go bad; people do. People lose their way; truths handed down to us by God do not. However people can always find their way back by returning once again to the ideas we were founded on. The Constitution and our principles and values can and will continue to guide us if we turn to them once again. How do you find your way back home? You follow the light. It is through retuning to our founding documents and the ideas present in them that the United States of America will be saved. “Woe to the ambition that would meditate the destruction of either” (James Madison). We will, once again, become “a shining city upon a hill whose beacon light guides freedom-loving people everywhere” (Ronald Reagan).
I know some out there will say to themselves that people like me have lost it, or “they have really gone off the deep end this time.” Whatever you think matters little to me when compared to the love I have for my country. God caused some of the wisest and most righteous men ever to exist to happen upon each other and come together in one tiny British colony in the absolute right moment in history. God inspired them to create a document as close to his natural law as any other that has ever existed before or since. The Constitution and the ideas laid out in it have made the United States the greatest nation ever to exist and was a gift to humanity as a whole.
I will not stand before my maker and be asked “Why did you let this happen? What I gave you was a miracle and when it was faltering and under attack you did nothing. You had your opportunities, people tried to get you involved, and each time you turned away. What was more important to you than your life and your Freedom? What was more important to you than that miracle of the Constitution and the United States of America I had given you? You failed your country, you failed your fellow man, and you failed your God.”
I for one when standing before God and asked “What did you do to preserve the great miracle of this country I gave you when it was under attack?” I for one can say I fought for it God. I did not stick my head in the sand, or stare off into a t.v. while freedom, an inalienable right, handed down by you to us, was under attack. I did not think my time could be better spent by doing anything else. I wasn’t lazy, I worked all day and studied the history of the miracle that you gave us all night. I studied those that tried to change our Constitution to better fight them. I made my voice heard. I tried my best to wake others up. I fought for it God.

Political Parties VS. The United States Constitution
I am sure that the above picture looks very familiar to just about everyone in the United States these days. This is our view of the world today and is based on political parties. On the left side we have the Democrats and on the right we have the Republicans. We have been led to believe through the years that these two groups are totally opposite of one another; the Democrats on the left are supposedly the home of today's liberals, socialist, communist, and of course the democratic party of the United States. The Republicans on the right are supposedly the home of conservatives, capitalist, fascist, and of course the republican party of the United States. None of this is quite accurate. Now if you are a republican you do not agree with the democrats view of the world and vice-verse. I want to tell you in this post that this is not the way it supposed to be here in America. Let me show what the Founding Fathers view of the World was, and how they wanted to set up our system of government.
You see above that the Founding Father's view of the world was Tyranny or total government on the left and Anarchy or no government on the right. This view is based on political power not political parties. Let us remember that people first came to this country, settled here, and created colonies to escape persecution from religion and government, which was in control of religion then anyway. Our Founding Fathers were no different, they had no love for government I assure you. George Washington said: "Government is not reason; it is not eloquent; it is force. Like fire, it is a dangerous servant and a fearful master." Thomas Jefferson said: "Experience hath shewn, that even under the best forms of government those entrusted with power have, in time, and by slow operations, perverted it into tyranny." The Founders wanted to have a system of government where the people had the power as much as possible. They did not want a strong central government. As stated above they had no use for government but they knew anarchy was not a long lasting system either and would eventually turn into tyranny. Therefore the Founders first system of government was called the Articles of Confederation. This did not last too long because it ended up too close to anarchy on the political power scale. So they wrote the Constitution and this moved the political power to the left giving the federal government just enough power to hold things together. Yet most of the power was still left to the people and to the states. Now let me tie everything together with this next picture.
This shows us the big picture and the way things really are. Here we have the political power scale running from anarchy to tyranny with our Constitution slightly right of center. The political party scale is running up and down on the bigger scale. Here we find the democrats and the republicans both of which are run by progressives. Who are the progressives? For this post I will keep it short, just think of today's liberals, bigger government types and yes they are republicans and democrats. This is by design. While the democrats and the republicans have us fighting amongst ourselves they are both sliding down the scale towards more government and eventually tyranny, total government. Let me give you that quote from Thomas Jefferson again: "Experience hath shewn, that even under the best forms of government those entrusted with power have, in time, and by slow operations, perverted it into tyranny."
Does any of this sound like what the Founding Fathers wanted for this country? Federal government in control of the financial sector (banks). Federal government in control of the auto industry (Chrysler and GM). Free government run health care. Etc. etc. Sounds like bigger government to me, more government. Isn't it obvious where we are headed. Read your history books, this is not the first time it has happened. We the people are being played and while we fight against one another and try to find our identities in an R or a D, the big Republican party or the big Democrat party we are getting dangerously close to losing our country if we haven't already.

A few months ago I heard one of the best speeches ever describing to the nation what it means to be a conservative. The speech was laid out in such a clear and direct fashion that I thought I would share it with everyone out there so once again we can hear what it means to believe in traditional, constitutional values and principles. The speech was of course from Rush Limbaugh from the CPAC convention. If any of you out there have some adversity to Rush I beg you just listen first and then tell me if you disagree. And when I say listen I mean listen and watch at least all of the first video and most of the second, and the third and the forth, that should do it. The President has no Credibility
Now while I would love to believe that the President of The United States has The United States best interest at heart his record has shown me the complete opposite. This is why I do not think the President really means it when he says he doesn't want to release pictures of so called detainee abuse. Let me explain, this is why the President has no credibility with the issue of releasing the pictures. First off the President has already released CIA memos talking about waterboarding and how the U.S. goes about gaining information from terrorist. This is just playing politics and has done nothing but show our enemies what they can do to prepare for our interrogation techniques. Bottom line it hurts us in the War on Terror. Second the President first came out saying he would release the photographs. Now he is saying he opposes the release of them, this is the right thing but there is a catch. If the President really did not want the release of the pictures to happen all he would have to do is sign an executive order, just like he did with the closing of Guantanamo Bay which he did yet still not knowing what he is going to do with the dangerous people jailed down there. Do you want them in your town, in your jail, where they can receive Constitutional rights? Ya didn’t think so. Once again this is just playing politics. He wanted to look good to his base, his support, and be true to what he is, an American hating socialist. Think that is too harsh? Let me ask you one question. What did he do when he went to Europe? Answer: He apologized for what he sees as American arrogance. Apologizing for America! For what? Liberating them from tyranny (but that is another blog). Now he has upset his base by coming out and saying that he opposes the release of the pictures because he knows that it is not the safe thing to do for his political future. To knowingly put troops lives at risk with the release of these pictures would be political suicide and he knows it. Yet he does not want to sign an executive order to stop the release of the pictures. Now this will go to the courts where, more than likely (God I hope I am wrong with this) this administration will put up less than a fight and the judge will release the pictures. Or just plan and simple they will be leaked. Finally, the President has done nothing since he has been in office but show that he is totally incompetent and that his plans are not with the majority of Americans; whether they know it or not. Go read my post on American Values and Principles and you tell me if the President has the countries best interest at heart or if he is just trying to turn the United States of America into the Socialist states of America.

American Values and Principles Part Nine
Part Nine: American Values and Principles
This may come as a shock but the Founders also thought that “without religion the government of a free people cannot be maintained. In 1787, the same year the Constitution was written and approved by Congress, that same Congress also passed the Northwest Ordinance. In it they emphasized the essential need to teach religion and morality in the schools. Here is how they said it: Article 3: Religion, morality, and knowledge being necessary to good government and the happiness of mankind, schools and the means of education shall forever be encouraged.”
George Washington: Of all the dispositions and habits which lead to political prosperity, religion, and morality are indispensable supports…Who that is a sincere friend to it can look with indifference upon attempts to shake the foundation of the fabric?
“Alexis de Tocqueville Discovers the Importance of Religion in America in1831, concerning religion in America, he wrote”: “On my arrival in the United States the religious aspect of the country was the first thing that struck my attention; and the longer I stayed there, the more I perceived the great political consequences resulting from this new state of things.
Religion in America takes no direct part in the government of society, but it must be regarded as the first of their political institutions… I do not know whether all Americans have a sincere faith in their religion-for who can search the human heart? But I am certain that they hold it to be indispensable to the maintenance of republican institutions. This opinion is not peculiar to a class of citizens or to a party, but it belongs to the whole nation and to every rank of society.”
“In Europe, it had been popular to teach that religion and liberty were enemies of each other. De Tocqueville saw the very opposite happening in America. He wrote: The philosophers of the eighteenth century explained in a very simple manner the gradual decay of religious faith. Religious zeal, said they, must necessarily fail the more generally liberty is established and knowledge diffused. Unfortunately, the facts by no means accord with their theory. There are certain populations in Europe whose unbelief is only equaled by their ignorance and debasement; while in America, one of the freest and most enlightened nations in the world, the people fulfill with fervor all the outward duties of religion.”
Can you imagine what kind of world it was back in 1831 when a Frenchman would come to America and say what De Tocqueville said about this country? Once again it seems we are or already have become the Europe of his day where we are saying religion and freedom must be separated. De Tocqueville continued: “The revolutions of America are obliged to profess an ostensible respect for Christian morality and equity, which does not permit them to violate wantonly the laws that oppose their designs… Thus, while the law permits the Americans to do what they please, religion prevents them from conceiving, and forbids them to commit, what is rash or unjust.”
My, my how far have we come? Read this from De Tocqueville: “In New England every citizen receives the elementary notions of human knowledge; he is taught, moreover, the doctrines and the evidences of his religion, the history, of his country, and the leading features of its Constitution. In the states of Connecticut and Massachusetts, it is extremely rare to find a man imperfectly acquainted with all these things, and a person wholly ignorant of them is a sort of phenomenon.”
Lastly from De Tocqueville a quote some of you may have heard before and a bit of a warning:
“I sought for the greatness and genius of America in her commodious harbors and her ample rivers, and it was not there; in her fertile fields and boundless prairies, and it was not there; in her rich mines and her vast world commerce, and it was not there. Not until I went to the churches of America and heard her pulpits aflame with righteousness did I understand the secret of her genius and power. America is great because America is good, and if America ever ceases to be good, America will cease to be great.”

In 1787, the same year the Constitution was written and approved by Congress, that same Congress also passed the Northwest Ordinance. In it they emphasized the essential need to teach religion and morality in the schools. Here is how they said it: Article 3: Religion, morality, and knowledge being necessary to good government and the happiness of mankind, schools and the means of education shall forever be encouraged.”
George Washington: Of all the dispositions and habits which lead to political prosperity, religion, and morality are indispensable supports…Who that is a sincere friend to it can look with indifference upon attempts to shake the foundation of the fabric?
“Alexis de Tocqueville Discovers the Importance of Religion in America in1831, concerning religion in America, he wrote”: “On my arrival in the United States the religious aspect of the country was the first thing that struck my attention; and the longer I stayed there, the more I perceived the great political consequences resulting from this new state of things.
Religion in America takes no direct part in the government of society, but it must be regarded as the first of their political institutions… I do not know whether all Americans have a sincere faith in their religion-for who can search the human heart? But I am certain that they hold it to be indispensable to the maintenance of republican institutions. This opinion is not peculiar to a class of citizens or to a party, but it belongs to the whole nation and to every rank of society.”
“In Europe, it had been popular to teach that religion and liberty were enemies of each other. De Tocqueville saw the very opposite happening in America. He wrote: The philosophers of the eighteenth century explained in a very simple manner the gradual decay of religious faith. Religious zeal, said they, must necessarily fail the more generally liberty is established and knowledge diffused. Unfortunately, the facts by no means accord with their theory. There are certain populations in Europe whose unbelief is only equaled by their ignorance and debasement; while in America, one of the freest and most enlightened nations in the world, the people fulfill with fervor all the outward duties of religion.”
Can you imagine what kind of world it was back in 1831 when a Frenchman would come to America and say what De Tocqueville said about this country? Once again it seems we are or already have become the Europe of his day where we are saying religion and freedom must be separated. De Tocqueville continued: “The revolutions of America are obliged to profess an ostensible respect for Christian morality and equity, which does not permit them to violate wantonly the laws that oppose their designs… Thus, while the law permits the Americans to do what they please, religion prevents them from conceiving, and forbids them to commit, what is rash or unjust.”
My, my how far have we come? Read this from De Tocqueville: “In New England every citizen receives the elementary notions of human knowledge; he is taught, moreover, the doctrines and the evidences of his religion, the history, of his country, and the leading features of its Constitution. In the states of Connecticut and Massachusetts, it is extremely rare to find a man imperfectly acquainted with all these things, and a person wholly ignorant of them is a sort of phenomenon.”
Lastly from De Tocqueville a quote some of you may have heard before and a bit of a warning:
“I sought for the greatness and genius of America in her commodious harbors and her ample rivers, and it was not there; in her fertile fields and boundless prairies, and it was not there; in her rich mines and her vast world commerce, and it was not there. Not until I went to the churches of America and heard her pulpits aflame with righteousness did I understand the secret of her genius and power. America is great because America is good, and if America ever ceases to be good, America will cease to be great.”

Gov. Crist is Just Another Arlen Specter!
Crist was elected Governor in 2006, and soon showed himself to be nothing more than an opportunist siding with anyone to further his own political career. Lets take a look at what he has done as Governor:
During the National Governors Association meeting earlier this year Crist emerged as the leading Republican voice in favor of President Obama’s $787 billion stimulus plan.
Not only did Crist embrace the big-spending package but he also drew swatches of publicity for appearing with Obama at a town meeting in Florida to drum up support for the controversial measure.
Crist was considered the Republican office-holder most wed to the extreme environmentalist movement after California Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger. Along with hosting a summit meeting on global warming, Crist capped greenhouse gas pollution and ordered state agencies to reduce emissions through tighter auto efficieny standards in 2007.
"This is what leadership is all about," Environmental Defense President Fred Krupp told reporters, "Charlie Crist understands that the risks of climate change are great but the opportunites for actions are greater."
Crist also went after the state’s insurance industry and help guide through the legislature a measure to "reform" insurance: lowering the price of insurance by making state government a larger player in the market and undercutting private insurors.
Crist named Circuit Judge James Perry to the Florida Supreme Court. The 65-year-old Perry is a registered Democrat with a long history of work in the civil rights movement.
In so doing, the governor passed over Circuit Court of Appeals Judge Alan Lawson, who was backed by the National Rifle Association, Florida Right to Life, and the Florida Family Policy Council.

The pace of job losses eased in April, with employers shedding a fewer-than-expected 539,000 jobs, the Labor Department reported Friday, in another sign that the sagging U.S. economy appears to be turning toward recovery.
The real story.
Private-sector employment fell by 611,000 jobs in April when government hiring was excluded, however. Rising government employment, through rapid hiring for the upcoming census, may give a false impression about employment trends.

President Obama will announce Monday that he has secured the commitment of several industry groups to do their part to rein in the growth in health care costs.
This pledge from the private sector could reduce the growth in health care spending by 1.5 percentage points a year, for a savings of $2 trillion over 10 years, a letter from the groups will promise, according to a senior administration official. Overall, it could amount to a 20% reduction in the growth of health care spending.
Six trade associations representing unions, hospitals, insurers and the drug industry have signed on to the commitment.

A Way Back?
The following is taken from the Glenn Beck Radio Show on 5/6/09. It is a conversation between him and Judge Napolitano. What they are talking about could very well be a way back to some kind of sanity in American politics. My only complaint is why just threaten to do this? If you are going to try and get it started try and finish it guys.
Judge Napolitano: If 2/3 of the states ask the congress to call a Constitutional Convention to consider the adoption of this amendment which I'll describe in a moment, as it gets closer and closer to the 2/3 necessary and congress would be required to call the convention, you'll see some reaction on the part of congress to attempt to placate the states that want to call this. Now, the constitutional amendment is a simple one. It simply abolishes the 16th amendment and states affirmatively that congress shall have no power to tax the personal incomes of individual persons. If that were enacted, it would starve the federal government back into the original footprint that the founders intended for it. But as it gets closer to enactment, congress will have to do something for fear that it might be enacted.
Let me tell you about another movement that's out there, Glenn, and this is something that was debated by the founders before and since the Civil War and it's called nullification. It's where a state legislature says the federal law that says ABC ‑‑ and I'll give you a few examples ‑‑ shall not be recognized in this state. Now, so far the nullification is in minor things. Arizona and Indiana have nullified the federal law on Daylight Savings Time. California, and New Jersey is about to do this, have nullified medical law on medical marijuana. Montana, this afternoon the governor of sign into law a law nullifying the federal regulation of firearms that are built, sold and used exclusively within the State of Montana.
Well let me know what all you people out there think. Could this be done? and How?

What Will Gold Do?

Somewhere along the road we have become Europe. The “natural aristocracy” of virtuous people is gone in America. Now people are too wrapped up in their own lives to even want to serve their country. Now we have career politicians, people who have never even had a “real” job before trying to run other businesses. This was unheard of in the days of our founding fathers. Like I said George Washington came out of retirement to serve his country, not to mention some wanted to give him the crown of a king. What did Washington do each time? He returned home where he belonged. Now politics has become a place of profit, a place where politicians receive special benefits not accessible to “ordinary” citizens. No longer do we have virtuous people in Washington. Unfortunately I think now is the time that we start thinking about term-limits for our elected officials. Washington served two terms and went home, eight years of service to his country. This was not a set mandatory term limit as it is now; Washington set the precedent that all others followed up until the presidency of FDR where he served almost four terms. It is of interest to not that after FDR died his own party (the democrats) introduced the bill to set term-limits for the president. Wait I thought he saved us from the depression? Ya right his own party knew he had taken to much power from the people and set up a huge centralized federal government.
“Even with an annual salary of $25000 that was provided in the Constitution for President Washington, he determined to somehow manage without it. Some might think that this was no sacrifice because he had a large plantation. However, the Mount Vernon plantation had been virtually ruined during the Revolutionary War, and he had not yet built it back into efficient production when he was called to be President. Washington declined his salary on principle. He did the same thing while serving as Commander-in-Chief of the armed forces during the Revolutionary War” (The Five Thousand Year Leap). Where are these people now?
Once again I have to say people need to pull themselves away from the television and start educating themselves. I know that some people hate politics but if we want to reverse the trend of where the United States is headed we need to get involved. As John Adams said: The science of government is my duty to study, more that all other sciences; the arts of legislation and administration and negotiation ought to take place of, indeed to exclude, in a manner, all other arts. I must study politics and war, that my sons may have liberty to study mathematics and philosophy. My sons ought to study mathematics and philosophy, geography, natural history, and naval architecture, navigation, commerce, and agriculture in order to give their children a right to study painting, poetry, music, architecture, statuary, tapestry, and porcelain.”
I say to you that this is not a linear time line of events but rather a cyclical time line. We have studied the finer things in life for far too long as we watched our country being taken away. Now it is time to start studying politics and war again. We already have a huge head start with a document that begins: “We the people of the United States”.

Now lets try to do something about this. I welcome and plead for all comments on how We the People can accomplish all, one, or any number of the above. For instance to end the Federal Reserve call, e-mail, and/or write your congressman and tell them to co-sponsor and support H.R. 833 Federal Reserve Board Abolition Act. Also tell them to co-sponsor or get behind H.R. 1207 Federal Reserve Transparency Act of 2009. Do not let these people off the hook our representatives suppose to represent us, let them know what you want. Let me know how they react to you telling them you want term-limits though. Lets see how that works out for us. But it can be done.

Watch out America the media is the next thing that the Obama administration is going to take over. Colin Powell Has Left the Building, he was never in
I ask all Americans; Does this sound like you - "Americans do want to pay taxes for services," he said. "Americans are looking for more government in their life, not less." This is from Colin Powell. Do you want more government in your life America? If you do move to Europe. We were founded on principles that were for individual rights not government dictated rights. It is all too simple! Read the Founding Father's words for God's sake! I can not emphasize enough how angry I am at the statements from Colin Powell a person that served this country admirable yet seems to have no idea what it was he was fighting for all of these years. It is totally opposite to what the majority of Americans know in their hearts to be right. Powell also said he does not want Republicans to turn into Democrats but rather to build a vibrant party. So what exactly does Powell mean by this? Does he mean that we should have a two party system, set apart by two separate polarizing political systems? Something that George Washington warned us about. That seems to be totally contrary to what he has said though doesn't it? News flash General, the Republicans have already turned into the Democrats. Wake up and realize what the country you have served all of these years is really about General.

Part Seven: American Values and Principles
Would you agree with the following statement?: “A free people cannot survive under a republican constitution unless they remain virtuous and morally strong.”
I would say that this statement is true and that we as a people have become less virtuous and morally bankrupt. Did you know that heated and sometimes violent debates took place in the thirteen colonies between 1775 and 1776 over whether or not the people were sufficiently “virtuous and moral” to govern themselves.
Franklin: "Only a virtuous people are capable of freedom. As nations become corrupt and vicious, they have more need of masters.”
Has our nation become corrupt and vicious?
George Washington said the Constitution could survive only “so long as there shall remain any virtue in the body of the people.”
“One of the most strident voices in the debate was Thomas Paine, who’s Common Sense had been a best-seller. He pointed out that most of the people were “industrious, frugal, and honest.” He added that few Americans had been corrupted with riches the way people had been debilitated in Europe, where all they wanted was “luxury, indolence, amusement, and pleasure.” (The Five Thousand Year Leap) Of special note here Thomas Paine was a Brit.
I ask what do we strive for America? Over the years have we become the very same “Europe” that Thomas Paine warned us about? Do we crave “luxury, indolence, amusement, and pleasure” over a return to basics, virtues, morality, and principles?
Note this: In colonial America it had begun already and now two hundred years later we find ourselves here. “In colonial America, British influence was already taking its toll. One alarmed American wrote, “Elegance, luxury and effeminacy begin to be established.” David Ramsay declared that if Americans had not revolted “our frugality, industry, and simplicity of manners, would have been lost in an imitation of British extravagance, idleness and false refinements.” (The Five Thousand Year Leap)
A Warning from the Founders
Samuel Adams (Father of the Revolution): I thank God that I have lived to see my country independent and free. She may long enjoy her independence and freedom if she will. It depends on her virtue.
John Adams: Our Constitution was made only for a moral and religious people. It is wholly inadequate to the government of any other.
Samuel Adams: The sum of all is, if we would most truly enjoy the gift of Heaven, let us become a virtuous people; then shall we both deserve and enjoy it. While, on the other hand, if we are universally vicious and debauched in our manners, though the form of our Constitution carries the face of the most exalted freedom, we shall in reality be the most abject slaves.
So if we as a people can get back to becoming a virtuous people again, grounded in our principles and values, what is the next step to turning the country around? Well the most promising method of securing a virtuous and morally stable country when the people are virtuous is to elect virtuous leaders. Once again let us return to the words of Samuel Adams: "But neither the wisest constitution nor the wisest laws will secure the liberty and happiness of a people whose manners are universally corrupt. He therefore is the truest friend to the liberty of his country who tries most to promote its virtue, and who, so far as his power and influence extend, will not suffer a man to be chosen into any office of power and trust who is not a wise and virtuous man."
So how do we elect virtuous leaders you might ask? Simple I say, read Thomas Jefferson. “It was believed by Jefferson and the rest of the Founders that citizens should accept major roles in public life. Instead of having an aristocracy like what was found in Europe. Jefferson spoke of a “natural aristocracy” of virtue, talent, and patriotism. I would say that this statement is true and that we as a people have become less virtuous and morally bankrupt. Did you know that heated and sometimes violent debates took place in the thirteen colonies between 1775 and 1776 over whether or not the people were sufficiently “virtuous and moral” to govern themselves.
Franklin: "Only a virtuous people are capable of freedom. As nations become corrupt and vicious, they have more need of masters.”
Has our nation become corrupt and vicious?
George Washington said the Constitution could survive only “so long as there shall remain any virtue in the body of the people.”
“One of the most strident voices in the debate was Thomas Paine, who’s Common Sense had been a best-seller. He pointed out that most of the people were “industrious, frugal, and honest.” He added that few Americans had been corrupted with riches the way people had been debilitated in Europe, where all they wanted was “luxury, indolence, amusement, and pleasure.” (The Five Thousand Year Leap) Of special note here Thomas Paine was a Brit.
I ask what do we strive for America? Over the years have we become the very same “Europe” that Thomas Paine warned us about? Do we crave “luxury, indolence, amusement, and pleasure” over a return to basics, virtues, morality, and principles?
Note this: In colonial America it had begun already and now two hundred years later we find ourselves here. “In colonial America, British influence was already taking its toll. One alarmed American wrote, “Elegance, luxury and effeminacy begin to be established.” David Ramsay declared that if Americans had not revolted “our frugality, industry, and simplicity of manners, would have been lost in an imitation of British extravagance, idleness and false refinements.” (The Five Thousand Year Leap)
A Warning from the Founders
Samuel Adams (Father of the Revolution): I thank God that I have lived to see my country independent and free. She may long enjoy her independence and freedom if she will. It depends on her virtue.
John Adams: Our Constitution was made only for a moral and religious people. It is wholly inadequate to the government of any other.
Samuel Adams: The sum of all is, if we would most truly enjoy the gift of Heaven, let us become a virtuous people; then shall we both deserve and enjoy it. While, on the other hand, if we are universally vicious and debauched in our manners, though the form of our Constitution carries the face of the most exalted freedom, we shall in reality be the most abject slaves.
So if we as a people can get back to becoming a virtuous people again, grounded in our principles and values, what is the next step to turning the country around? Well the most promising method of securing a virtuous and morally stable country when the people are virtuous is to elect virtuous leaders. Once again let us return to the words of Samuel Adams: "But neither the wisest constitution nor the wisest laws will secure the liberty and happiness of a people whose manners are universally corrupt. He therefore is the truest friend to the liberty of his country who tries most to promote its virtue, and who, so far as his power and influence extend, will not suffer a man to be chosen into any office of power and trust who is not a wise and virtuous man."
So how do we elect virtuous leaders you might ask? What's in a Word?
What's in a word? Quite a bit if you look into it. Take for instance the word "Liberal". Did you know that once upon a time the term "Liberal" was one that believed in individual freedom, free markets, and limited government. Without going into too much detail about this in this blog a quick history is in order. Some progressives "took" the term liberal and started using it to try and change the hearts and minds of Americans. Now they are trying to do the same thing with Global warm.... Can Obama Be Called an Economic Fascist?

It is dangerous in this day and age to use the word “fascism” lightly. Liberals sling around the term “fascism” without regard to its meeting -- for the left, “fascism” applies to everything from religious social perspectives to conservative tax cut prescriptions. But economic fascism has a precise, defined meaning. And Barack Obama’s economic policy fulfills that meaning in every conceivable way.
Economic fascism can be defined as government control over the four
P’s: Product, Price, Profit Margin, and People. When the government controls the product created by the market, when it controls the price structure for product and company securities, when it controls how much profit particular companies can make, and when it controls the people who are hired and fired, economic freedom has been banished, and economic fascism reigns supreme.
And economic fascism reigns supreme in Barack Obama’s America. Just look at the recent government handling of Chrysler. In a series of press conferences this week announcing Chrysler’s bankruptcy, Obama hit on all of the four P’s.
First, Obama stated that Chrysler’s product had to be revamped -- and that he knew how best to do it. “For too long,” Obama said, “Chrysler moved too slowly to adapt to the future, designing and building cars that were less popular, less reliable, and less fuel efficient than foreign competitors. That’s part of what has brought us to a point where they sought taxpayer assistance.” It’s easy for Obama to criticize Chrysler -- he’s never run so much as a lemonade stand. He’s never had to produce a product for the market. And his ideas are routinely foolish: his first brilliant automotive move was touting the GM/Segway two-wheel idiotmobile, designed to navigate through traffic.
And yet Obama wants control of the car industry. “I'm not an auto engineer,” Obama admitted on Wednesday. “I don't know how to create an affordable, well-designed plug-in hybrid. But I know that, if the Japanese can design an affordable, well-designed hybrid, then, doggone it, the American people should be able to do the same. So my job is to ask the auto industry: Why is it you guys can't do this?” Why is it his job to ask that question? Shouldn’t the market be asking that question? Not in an economically fascist state, where the government controls the product.
Second, Obama announced that he would be setting prices on senior debt. Obama’s proposed plan for Chrysler involved destroying senior debtholders, paying them a whopping $0.33 on the dollar for their loans. When the senior debtholders refused to abide by such a plan, Obama excluded them from the Chrysler bankruptcy negotiations altogether, then labeled them “speculators” and blamed them for Chrysler’s downfall
-- all the while kowtowing to the interests of four large banks (Citigroup, Goldman Sachs, JP Morgan, and Morgan Stanley) that own 70 percent of Chryslers debt. All of them have taken government bailout cash.
The lenders who have not taken government cash, by contrast, were left out in the cold. “We have been forced to communicate through an obviously conflicted intermediary: a group of banks that have received billions of TARP funds," the lenders wrote in a press release. “In its earnest effort to ensure the survival of Chrysler and the well-being of the company's employees, the government has risked overturning the rule of law.” There is no risk of overturning the rule of law -- the rule of law has already been overturned. And Obama celebrates the death of the rule of law, dancing on the corpses of the “speculators.” The “speculators,” announced Obama “were hoping that everybody else would make sacrifices and they would have to make none … I don’t stand with them. I stand with Chrysler’s employees, and their families and communities.”
Posing as a populist, Obama undermined the very basis of free enterprise in this country: the power of investors to lend money at return. Instead, he says he stands with employees, families, and communities -- all of whom would be bankrupt without the power of private investment. Preaching economic fascism in the guise of warfare on “speculators” -- this is how freedom dies.
Third, Obama stated that he would henceforth control the profit margin for Chrysler. He did this by putting the unions in control of Chrysler
-- the new majority owner of Chrysler is the union retiree health fund, which has a 55 percent stake in the new company. And yet Obama assures us that the unions have made “great sacrifices.” The unions have made great sacrifices in the same way Agamemnon made great sacrifices. Agamemnon sacrificed Iphigenia for his own ends; the unions have sacrificed the America auto industry for their own ends. Meanwhile, Obama will set profit margins for auto executives in the same way he unilaterally set them for Wall Street. After all, Obama stands for the “employees,” not for the bosses. Where bosses used to employ the employees, the government will now do the job.
Fourth, and finally, Obama has decided that the government shall control the people who are hired and fired at America’s largest companies. After defenestrating the head of GM, Rick Wagoner, Obama forced out the head of Chrysler, Robert Nardelli. He then stacked the nine member board of the company with four government picks, three Fiat picks, one union pick, and one Canadian pick. Chrysler is now a wholly owned subsidiary of the federal government. And the same President who urged us to “buy American” in his Thursday speech handed over the levers of power to an Italian car company, Fiat.
We are living in momentous times. There are many who question whether American capitalism will survive Obama. The verdict is in. It will not. It has not. We are already living under the rule of economic fascism. The jackboots are already in charge of Washington D.C. Obama’s dictatorial command and control of the economy spell disaster for our principles and our prosperity.
If any of you out there reading this still have doubts about whether or not Obama is ruining this country I urge you to read all of my American Values and Principles blogs, and you tell me if him or any other politician you can think of has this countries best interest at heart or their own government growing agenda in store for us. Condemned To Repeat
I really can't believe that these so-called republicans still do not get it, oh wait yes I can. No Governor Bush you are wrong once again. You can learn something by knowing the past. What you do not get Governor is that people talk about the "heyday of the Reagan era" with pride and "nostalgia" because Reagan understood what America was about. By knowing the core conservative values and principles that made this country great you can articulate a message that will get conservatives elected. Don't you understand Governor that Americans are tired of the republicans and the democrats. People are finally starting to wake up and study and reconnect with what they have always known inside, mainly that conservative values (you know the ones like most of the Founding Fathers had) work. You Progressives on the right had your perfect candidate with John McCain and look what happened. Sure he talked a lot about Regan but he was no Reagan and Governor neither are you. When it comes down to it I don't think any of these people; Governor Bush, Governor Romney, Eric Cantor, etc. are true conservatives and that is why the republican party is falling apart. I sure hope Sarah Palin is who she seems to be. She may be the only hope and change we have left at this point. Former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush said Saturday that it's time for the Republican Party to give up its "nostalgia" for the heyday of the Reagan era and look forward, even if it means stealing the winning strategy deployed by Democrats in the 2008 election.
"You can't beat something with nothing, and the other side has something. I don't like it, but they have it, and we have to be respectful and mindful of that," Mr. Bush said.
"So our ideas need to be forward looking and relevant. I felt like there was a lot of nostalgia and the good old days in the [Republican] messaging. I mean, it's great, but it doesn't draw people toward your cause," Mr. Bush said.

HELENA, Mont. - Montana is trying to trigger a battle over gun control — and perhaps make a larger point about what many folks in this ruggedly independent state regard as a meddlesome federal government.
In a bill passed by the Legislature earlier this month, the state is asserting that guns manufactured in Montana and sold in Montana to people who intend to keep their weapons in Montana are exempt from federal gun registration, background check and dealer-licensing rules because no state lines are crossed.
That notion is all but certain to be tested in court.
The immediate effect of the law could be limited, since Montana is home to just a few specialty gun makers, known for high-end hunting rifles and replicas of Old West weapons, and because their out-of-state sales would automatically trigger federal control.

Want a New Car
Want a new Car? Buy General Motors (GM), or how about a Chrysler. Why not help grow the federal government? You know they run everything else so well. Going and getting a driver's license is a breeze. Social Security: It will be there forever. Health care is great you only have to see 4 or 5 doctors and spend anywhere in-between one to two months to get treated. FEMA is real efficient. So remember if you want to help grow the federal government buy American, but not a Ford they don't count.

American Values and Principles Part Six
Part Six: American Values and Principles
So what can we do about the current state of our beloved country? I would say first know the history. Know what the founders believed, read our Constitution. But the best way to preserve the country; root yourself in the unchanging values and principles that were handed to us by God. So by knowing about our founding and our Constitution you would know that James Madison said: “The powers delegated by the proposed Constitution to the federal government are few and defined. Those which are to remain in the State governments are numerous and indefinite… The powers reserved to the several States will extend to all the objects which, in the ordinary course of affairs, concern the lives, liberties, and properties of the people, and the internal order, improved, and prosperity of the State.”
The powers of the federal government as defined in the Constitution are few and defined? Who would have thought that these days?
Did you know that the founders warned against the United States drifting to the left side of the political spectrum? The left is home to today’s liberals, democrats, socialist, communist, and also of the so-called moderate republicans and compassionate conservatives. They warned against a strong central government operating from the collectivist left. They warned against the “welfare state” where the government endeavors to take care of everyone from the cradle to the grave.
Jefferson: “If we can prevent the government from wasting the labors of the people, under the pretense of taking care of them, they must become happy.”
They also warned against excessive taxes and deficit spending. Jefferson said it was immoral for one generation to pass on the results of its extravagance in the form of debts to the next generation.
Jefferson: “…we shall all consider ourselves unauthorized to saddle posterity with our debts, and morally bound to pay them ourselves; and consequently within what may be deemed the period of a generation, or the life of the majority.”
Take note Obama and Congress.
The founders also warned against and did everything possible to make the ideas of socialism and communism unconstitutional.
Samuel Adams: The utopian schemes of re-distribution of the wealth and a community of goods, are as visionary and impractical as those which vest all property in the Crown. These ideas are arbitrary, despotic, and, in our government, unconstitutional.”
Now who was it again that said they want to spread the wealth around?
Now I ask you; is this against the Constitution and the ideas the Founders had for this nation?
I believe that we are so removed from what our Constitution allows and does not allow because of a lack of a proper education in this country these days. People are just not taught about the Constitution and what it has meant for the whole world. We are not taught the actual history. We hear that our Founders were racist, and the document they created was racist and that the Constitution is an outdated document from another time. I hope by now, as I have tried to show above, that anyone reading this does not or no longer believes this. Once again if we turn to our Founders we find that they were right on this issue also.
Jefferson on the necessity for an educated electorate: “If a nation expects to be ignorant and free, in a state of civilization, it expects what never was and never will be.”
Jefferson: “No other sure foundation can be devised for the preservation of freedom and happiness… Preach…a crusade against ignorance; establish and improve the law for educating the common people. Let our countrymen know that the people alone can protect us against these evils of misgovernment.”

I hope by now, as I have tried to show above, that anyone reading this does not or no longer believes this. Once again if we turn to our Founders we find that they were right on this issue also.
Jefferson on the necessity for an educated electorate: “If a nation expects to be ignorant and free, in a state of civilization, it expects what never was and never will be.”
Jefferson: “No other sure foundation can be devised for the preservation of freedom and happiness… Preach…a crusade against ignorance; establish and improve the law for educating the common people. Let our countrymen know that the people alone can protect us against these evils of misgovernment.”
